JULY 2003 28 July 2003 - Fantasy football pre-ranking time. First draft is set for August 4th, which is way too early if you ask me. An emaciated research page is up and the first feature, the infamous MDS photoshop contest, is posted. 24 July 2003 - Yay. Nearly a week since I've done anything here. No news besides a mighty victory in tonight's pub quiz. 18 July 2003 - The research page is the last major project. When's that's up I'll start a quiet advertising campaign. I'll submit to search engines once all of the features are done. I'll probably wait until the beginning of August so that these lame blog entries are off the main page and in the archive. And until more than a couple of people visit this site per week, I'm not going to talk about anything interesting. 17 July 2003 - Still fixing stuff. The academics page is now up, although it is nothing more than a run down of courses and teachers. I posted a revised CV in the jackass area and gave a makeover to the guestbook section. Despite the lack of new posting, great strides are being made offline. Writing the G2-to-G1 welcome letter has also eaten a lot of my non-labwork time. Due to administrative revisions--cough, censorship--the writing process continues to drag on. I'll eventually make this a feature page so prospective students can get the straight dope they deserve, instead of the saccharine propaganda regularly distributed by university chemistry departments. It's actually an entertaining story as well. 14 July 2003 - The fun keeps on coming. The barren features page and the jackass / fanfare / obiligatory resume page are now up. It's going to be quite a while before the academics page, research page, and the feature pages go up. It's not like I have the time to do this or anything. Perhaps I'll start spending 30 minutes a day doing Web crap, and maybe--maybe--everything will be bumpin' by the end of the Summer. In the meantime, I watch my number of hits increase as I continually reload the front page. I've still told no one about this site, but IP logs show that I got my first visitor this weekend! Hello, dork. 13 July 2003 - Figured out how to set up e-mail, a counter, and a guestbook. Links and me pages have been posted. Still working on the rest. 11 July 2003 - Starting to get this thing up. None of the links work yet. Still trying to figure out the control panel. Blah blah blah. The only way you could possibly have found this page is by entering paulbracher.com into your browser.
